A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Agnes Ritter and his brother John Ritter. (Donna), and Tracy Meier (Steve), his sisters Rose Cook and Mary Vale, grandchildren Joel and Brooke Smith, Brandon and Hannah Miller, Madison Smith and Josh Vela, Brandi Keppler, Kylie Ritter, Stephen and Becky Meier, and Dale Meier, his great grandchildren Brandon Smith Jr., Rosalie Vela, Caiden Dewart, Mia Comeaux, and Everett Meier, and his faithful dog Jewel. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 yrs., Rosalie Ritter, his children Kimberly Smith Keppler (Raymond), Charlie Joseph Ritter, Jr.
He served our country in the United States Army and was a Chemist/Color Matcher for Advertisement purposes most his life. Charles loved waterskiing, riding motorcycles, shooting guns, and camping, but most of all he loved painting scenery. On Friday May 12, 2023, Charles Joseph Ritter, Sr., age 82 of Slidell, LA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
